Bright Green Gekko

Generally nocturnal, yet surprisingly active during the day, bathing in the suns light, absorbing radiant heat ... with speed and agility ... eyes always watching, unblinking, watching, observing ...

More scenes of the incredible palace and grounds ... there was soooo much to see, yet in the October chill it was getting dark and cold, so dashed around as much as possible. Incredible to think this was where French nobles, Napolean, even Hitler, had once walked ... and all that remains to echo that history are silent stones and mortar.

Versailles Palace ... so much to see ... and over such an enormous area, walked my feet off.
Versailles Palace ... gold, gold, gold everywhere :-)
Main Entrance from the village and 'The Hall of Mirrors'
Eiffel Tower ... very romantic location, shame I didn't have anyone to share the romantic experience with ... maybe next time :-)

Large sticky up into the sky thingy in Paris ... at night

Exploring Paris ...

Including Mont Matre (Sacre Coeur ... photo to follow), where artists had studios or worked around the community of Montmartre such as Salvador Dali, Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh and Pablo Picasso ... and Notre-Dame Cathedral where you could purchase a candle for 2Euro !!!

I warmed my hands on the many burning candles as the day was rather chilly :-)

More street scenes from Paris ... The street my apartment was on (built in the early 1700's) ... Victory Arch at the end of the street ... One of the numerous dinky 'Smart Cars' ... Mont-Matre Markets

Scenes from Paris ... Eiffel Towers everywhere in any shape or form you can imagine (I bought 64 in total ... and wow look at the prices of those Kiwifruit :-)

Paris in October was quite simply incredible ... and would have been so much nicer to go with someone who wanted to share the lovely experience :-)
