14 October 2006 : Waterfeature Operational !!!
After many months the waterfeature is more or less complete. As you can see in the photo today I've managed to finish all but the rocks around the base (okay so the stainless tray is not inspiring, I know) ... and a few more insulators may be added to direct waterflow downward, as it does tend to splash outward from the last insulator. Tonight will be the first test of lighting and waterflow, so expect more photos to follow ...

National Park House : Finally It's Here
After 3 years planning, building consents and reso
urce consent hassles ... finally the house is in place in National Park. I saw it 3 weeks after it was reassembled on piles on Friday night ... it may have been a late 10pm arrival in the village, yet the excitement couldn't stop me from hunting around it in torchlight.
The volume of dust throughout was incredible, and mess as a result of debris from the road trip made for a few hours of sweeping and ripping up carpet. EXPRESSO3 : Friday 13 October : Zigilini's
Next Friday it's Zigilini's on Grey Street (across from KFC) from 7:30pm, located sufficiently distant from inner city madness that it will be a relaxing evening with great coffee, awesome food and a chance to wind down at the end of the week. Please RSVP by the Thursday night by posting to this blog, or contact me directly. See you there :-)

3 October 2006 : Water water everywhere ...
After a period stalled on the garden waterfeature I have a 12voltDC pump from the Pirongia Marketday that, once cleaned up tonight and fitted with necessary hose and electrical connections, was installed by 10pm, and even with an incomplete (and too tall by one metre) aluminium and glass tower, water flowed 4m from the underground sump to fall, albeit somewhat unspectacularly, over the first glass insulator, splashing into the base and recycled back into the circuit.
Oh now with such a wordy explanation I realise this certainly requires a photo to do the structure justice.
Until then you'll simply have to imagine ... just as John Lennon once wrote ...
